New Scholarship Opportunity!

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Dr. George S. Rent Sociology Fellowship. This fellowship will offer scholarship assistance to a student pursuing an MA degree in Sociology. Dr. Rent served on the faculty for 17 years and served as the Chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social work for nearly a decade. We are grateful to Dr. George S. Rent and Dr. Clyda S. Rent for their generous commitment to graduate education at UNC Charlotte. The first award will be distributed in 2018-2019. When the scholarship becomes available, detailed information will be posted on the UNC Charlotte Scholarship site.
